Drabbles

A ‘drabble’ is defined as an ultra-short story of exactly one hundred words.  Not a word more, not a word less.  Sometimes this can include a title but I’ve never written them that way — I’ve always found that I need every single word for the story itself.

I’ve only written a few drabbles but have found them a useful exercise in striving to capture an atmosphere, a situation, an incident, or tell a tale in very, very few words.

I’ll post my first drabble tomorrow.
